Dr. C. Daniel is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Civil Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia, specializing in Structural Engineering with over four years of teaching and research experience. His research focuses on smart materials, structural vibration control, prestressed concrete, textile-reinforced concrete, and smart foldable housing, with a particular emphasis on developing innovative solutions for enhancing the seismic resilience of civil infrastructure through advanced damping technologies. Dr. Daniel has established a strong research profile with numerous publications in reputed international journals, including ASCE, Elsevier, ASTM, Springer, and Intech Open, covering topics such as magnetorheological dampers, seismic mitigation, structural dynamics, and reinforced concrete systems.
